Nook setup and developed very capable engineering teams in India (Hyderabad, Bangalore), USA (San Jose Bay area), China (Shanghai), Taiwan and Germany and delivered cutting edge products to market. He managed the development of semiconductors from production requirements and definition, architecture, design and development of IP as well as SOC and release to production of multiple generations of ICs at Cirrus Logic, MediaQ, Silicon Image, Becton-Dickinson, Redpine Signals, Keyssa and Molex. The products spanned a wide range of technologies from IoT, smart phones, microcontrollers, peripherals, system-on-a-chip, medical devices, and mmWave radio transceivers. The common theme in all these chip developments was low-power, increasing levels of integration and high-performance that enabled mobile platforms that were battery powered with long operating life and high-performance. At each point of development Nook’s team pushed the envelope and developed IP and architecture implementations that resulted in solutions that meet key performance indicators and benchmarks. These products generated upwards of $1B dollars in revenue.
Nook received his BSEE from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, his MSEE from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and MSCS from Wayne State University. Nook holds several patents.
